Cleveland Krist Secures Denial of Preliminary Injunction in Intellectual Property Dispute in Austin

On September 15, 2022, an Austin federal court ruled in favor of Cleveland Krist’s client, a prominent real estate developer, denying a motion for preliminary injunction filed by the plaintiff in an intellectual property dispute. The plaintiff sought a preliminary injunction to force the Firm’s client to change the name of a planned amphitheater in southwest Austin within a $100 million real estate development. After a full evidentiary hearing, where the Firm cross-examined the CEO of the plaintiff and a renowned technical expert, the federal court denied the plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction.
