Biography

Emi Lawson is a steadfast trial lawyer who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts across the nation. She has handled disputes on a wide range of subject matters, including intellectual property, breach of contract, executive compensation, mergers & acquisitions, trade secret misappropriation, and cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Cleveland Krist, Emi worked at Susman Godfrey in Houston. She previously served as a law clerk for Judge Alia Moses of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Emi graduated from Columbia Law School, where she was on editor on the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law and served as a judicial intern to Judge Daniel R. Dominguez of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.  Emi has also earned an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was captain of the women’s soccer team and earned National Scholar All-American and All Pac-12 First Team honors.
